Mahum is licensed to practice as an advocate of the high courts and her practice at the firm focuses on litigation, international arbitration and corporate advisory services. She regularly represents clients in constitutional, tax and regulatory matters before the high courts and regulatory tribunals. She also assists the Senior Partner in research and drafting of pleadings for matters before the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Recently, she assisted the Senior Partner in challenging the decision of the Sindh High Court which had declared the imposition of Super Tax for tax year 2022 unconstitutional. As part of her advisory practice, she routinely advises clients on general, corporate, commercial matters and structuring matters. Her clients include leading private schools and pharmaceutical companies.
She has previously worked at the dispute resolution desk of a leading corporate law firm where she focused on constitutional, commercial, civil and tax litigation.
Mahum completed her LL.M with a focus on Gender and International Legal Studies from Washington College of Law as a Fulbright scholar where she graduated with distinction. She was awarded her BA-LLB (Hons.) from Sheikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, where she graduated with High Distinction.
She maintains a keen interest in gender studies and environmental law.
