A practicing barrister, Usama leads the firm’s Islamabad presence in litigation and dispute resolution. He has represented the Government of Pakistan in multiple arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce, and also focuses on civil, accountability, and administrative matters.
Besides appearing regularly before the Islamabad, Peshawar, and Lahore High Courts, Usama also heads the Advanced Center for International Law Development, a policy institute that conducts research and provides advisory services regarding Pakistan’s international legal obligations.
Usama previously worked with the Office of the Attorney-General, where he assisted the federation before the Supreme Court of Pakistan on matters involving electoral disqualification, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the constitutionality of presidential ordinances.
